On the evening of Monday the 19th of June, the Bookshop hosted a lunch party for the new CTS publication Food for the Journey – a treasury of prayers and reflections for new and prospective Catholics.
There was a good turn-out for the Launch, which was listed on Eventbrite, Facebook and the Bookshop’s own website. Among the attendees were many participants from Westminster Cathedral’s RCIA (Roman Catholic Initiation for Adults) course who were delighted to be there, and said that having such a book newly published helped them to feel very loved and welcomed by the Church. Several priests from Westminster Cathedral also attended.
The book itself was introduced by CTS General Secretary Fergal Martin, who said:
‘Faith is a journey….This compendium is designed for those who are on this journey…It is a gift,a keepsake… but above all it is a ruck-sack to bring with you on the journey – light and easy to carry, but full of the essentials.’
Cool drinks and snacks were much appreciated on what had been the hottest day of the year
